Family Tour in Peloponnese: Olympia, Mycenae, Nafplio and the Corinth Canal – 2-day Package

Day 1

A family visit to the Corinth Canal, legendary Mycenae and beautiful Nafplio

The first day starts with a pick-up at your hotel in Athens. You will then leave Athens, and pass through the countryside to reach the first stop of the day, which is at the famous Corinth Canal. If you are lucky, you may see some brave people bungee jumping over the canal itself!

After this stop, the next destination is Mycenae. Set in a beautiful and imposing location, Mycenae was massively influential on ancient Greek culture, and the home of Agamemnon, the King who launched the historical / mythical war against Troy.

After leaving Mycenae, there is a choice to visit another very impressive ancient site called Messene.

The daily tour closes with a visit to the nearby city of Nafplio where we could enjoy a savory lunch or stop for a refreshing gelato that your kids will surely love. Many consider Nafplion to be one of the most romantic cities in the entire country. Your guide will show you its most beautiful highlights. Together with your kids you will be able to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the old alleyways, and explore every hidden corner of this beautiful city.

The day ends at Nafplio, where there is an overnight stay.

Day 2

A family visit to the birthplace of the famous Olympics!

The second day of the tour, is spent at the site of Olympia itself. Walk among the remains of a vast site thousands of years old, and even challenge each other to a race in the ancient stadium!

Your family-friendly tour guide will make you feel as though you were there all that time ago. After enjoying the site of Olympia, it will be time to leave for Athens.
