One Full Day in Athens and the surrounding areas with the Family

First Stop: Acropolis

The full-day family tour of Athens and surrounding area, begins at one of the most iconic places in the world – The Acropolis. Your guide will lead you and your family to the top of this impressive citadel which towers over Athens even today.

Here, your kids will love using the augmented reality program on the i-Pads they are given for the tour. They will be able to see just how impressive the buildings, including the Parthenon, would have looked all those years ago. There is no need to augment the views from the top of course, because they are stunning!

Second Stop: Plaka and drive 

After leaving the Acropolis, our guide will lead you through Plaka, pointing out points of major historical interest along the way such as Hadrian’s Library, the Ancient Agora, and Monastiraki Square.

Enjoy a lunch at one of the many fine Greek tavernas and restaurants in the heart of Athens, and experience for yourself why Greek cuisine is regarded as one of the best in the world!

After lunch, you will be driven to other major points of interest in Athens, such as the Parliament, Syntagma Square, and the Panathenaic Stadium. 

Stop Three: Beach and Sounion at sunset

The tour then continues with a drive out to the coastal areas near Athens, where you have a choice of beaches to enjoy the afternoon sun, and swim in the warm waters (weather permitting). Alternatively, you can visit Lake Vouliagmeni or a natural themed park.

You can then choose to have dinner first and watch the sunset at Sounion, or have dinner after watching the sunset. Either way, the entire family will enjoy watching the sun setting at the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, just as the Greeks have for thousands of years!
