Where to stay in Athens: top picks by our readers
You may be wondering in which part of the city it is better to stay i.e. north, south, or in the city centre. We strongly advise you to stay in the centre, the heart of the city, as this is where most of the monuments are located, including the famous Acropolis. Going to the beach from the centre is quite easy by public transport or by taxi (which tends to be quite cheap) and should take 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
