Balux Café – The House Project
With its innovative decor and vast space inside and out, Balux Cafe will satisfy the taste buds of everyone due to the variety of choices that it offers. Balux Café, or House Project as it is also known, has been designed following the concept of a really unusual house. There are no walls and all the rooms are different, each intended for a different use.
There is a library, playroom with PlayStation, X-box, pool and space with comfy pillows. There is also a lounge area where you can sit comfortably with your family for coffee, refreshments, food and the added bonus of a TV corner for your kids.
If you visit during summer or spring, there are even more choices. First of all the café next to the beach is ideal all day long for either drink or food. There is a garden with a specially formed space, called Baluxaki, that is exactly what children are looking for. They can play around in the playground and you can watch them while drinking your coffee in a separate area with coffee tables.
During the summer you can visit the beach of Balux (Asteras Glyfadas) and entertain yourselves and your children to the max with the water trampoline and other inflatable toys.
Finally, every Thursday night there is live music as well as an exhibition of innovative work by new artists related to fashion, books, clothes, vintage furniture etc.

Families should know
- During the summer, peak hours are from 13:00 to 17:00. We would recommend that you avoid visiting during peak hours, especially at weekends
- The playground has swings, see saws and plastic toys for babies, and the entrance is free. There is a second playground that has a bouncy castle, a lake with miniature boats, carousel, fun park and a children’s train for an extra charge. Entrance price is only 2€ for the games or 6€ for the playground with the inflatable toys, while there is also a daily pass on offer for 10€
- The place has parking at an extra charge, but at weekends and public holidays in the summer it may be full
- If you decide to combine your visit to Balux with a visit to Poseidon’s Temple at Sounio, we suggest you take the longer coastal road that connects Glyfada and Sounio, as it has an amazing view of the beach especially at sunset
- There is a tram station nearby. All you have to do is get off at Esperidon Square or Kolimvitirio stops and walk towards the seafront. You could also use http://www.youdrive.gr/ for navigation details.
