Join our Greek Christmas traditional cookie baking class, and discover the delicious treats which make Christmas in Greece so special. Melomakarona and Kourabiedes are two traditional types of cookies baked at this time of year, and during this family-friendly activity, you will learn how to make them.
You will be invited inside a Greek home, where your host will explain the history and origins of these famous Greek desserts. Then, ingredients and guidance will be provided for you to bake your own! This is a great activity for all the family, and the kids will love this hands-on experience of making these tasty cookies.
Throughout your afternoon Greek Christmas traditional cookie baking class in Athens, you will enjoy Greek hospitality first hand. Your host will also introduce you to the various teas and coffees available in Greece, and you can make a Mountain Tea or a traditional Frappe whilst the cookies bake. Then, when they are ready, it is time to taste. Just remember to leave a few to take home with you!
This afternoon activity is perfect for the family who don’t want to spend all their time in museums or at archaeological sites. It takes between 2 and 3 hours, and is suitable for up to 8 people.
